Snow Angel's Hollywood premiere at the Egyptian theatre with actress Kate Beckinsale

I was so excited when I saw there were tickets to be bought to this! I found some new friends in my area to drive down with and we purchased 3 tickets.  We left St George around 11pm Weds night and made it to Hollywood at 8 am.  Our first stop was the huge Hollywood and Highland mall, we parked and hurried up to the bathroom to get ready.  We also started what became the 2 hour hunt for shoes for Mike, when we had stoped in Baker for an hour nap, he had taken his shoes off and put them outside the car, and they were left there.  There security guard almost kicked us out of the mall before we could find him some.  (No shoes no service)

Sari ended up washing her hair in the bathroom sink and it really was a great adventure already :)

We found some shoes around 10 am, and began exploring Hollywood.

Sari and Monique under the Grauman's Egyptian Theatre signWe walked down to check out the Grauman's Egyptian Theatre (not to be confused with The Sari and Monique outside the Egyptian Theatre with the Snow Angel's poster for the premiereGrauman's Chinese Theatre where most huge Hollywood premiere's are).  Apparently a lot of people want to work for Grauman's because there are flouroscent pink signs in every window stating "No Positions Available".

We took a picture of the Snow Angel poster which was displayed prominently next to Gone with the Wind.  What a contrast of Movies.

There were about 8 hours before the movie, so we explored Hollywood Boulevard.  Sari and Mike introduced me to many tattoo parlor'Mike, Sari and Monique at Clare Kramer's La Cantinas and I came across a gorgeous picture of Kate Beckinsale from her Underworld days, to hopefully get signed later.

We at lunch at Clare Kramer's restaurant, La Cantina.  They have the best guacamole anywhere.  The manager told us that Clare just had her baby, and they were doing great.  There was a pink balloon stuck to the ceiling fan so I am guessing Monique with Yummy Alex she had a girl.

Next began a quest to find a silver sharpie.  I believe that if I were a vendor in hollywood I would sell nothing but silver and gold sharpies.  Black, Red, and Blue are easy enough to find but it takes Silver or Gold to show up on most pictures.  After much walking in Mike's new flip flops we finally found one at a pharmacy at the other end of Hollywood Boulevard, along with a really cool Moonlight Poster.  Note if you look closely at the Moonlight picture, you can see the picture I got forMonique on the Red Carpet for the Movie Premiere of Snow Angel's Kate to sign.

We headed back to the mall to get ready for the main event..  (Good thing they have a large bathroom)  When we arrived at the Egyptian Theatre and found they had set up the red carpet, lined posters along it and there were people already gathering around.  This was about 3:30pm.  The security guards had been informed that this was a "real hollywood premiere" and not available to the public.  I found out later that after the Egyptian Theatre had sold 50 tickets, Warner Bros had decided to make this a bigger premiere than they had originally intended.  So we were very lucky to have got our three tickets before the event was closed off.  So we took our pictures on the red carpet and headed off to find a sandwich shop.

Sari and I ordered a vegi sandwich, Mike ordered a cheeseburger, 10 mins later our sandwichs were finished but it wasn't til 4:20 (45 mins later) his cheeseburger came out, that teachs you not to order meat in LA, they really do have to kill the cow LOL

Michael Angarano and Monique on the red carpetWhen we made it back to the red carpet, they had set up two barricades and people were smashing in hoping to get a glimpse of the stars, the security still did not know what to do with us, so after much stressing and walking back and forth we had the brilliant idea to call the box office and they had us put them on with Andre the headJames Franco at the Movie premiere of Snow Angel's security guy and I was allowed back to pick up our tickets.  We went and got in line with everyone else behind the barricade.  We met alot of interesting people, many who did premiere's for a living, they had camera's and numerous pictures to have signed whenever they ran into celebrities. At 7 they started seating in the theatre, so Sari and Mike headed in but Andre pulled me aside and said I should wait behind the barricade until the stars "dropped" were dropped off on the red carpet.  While I was waiting two people caKate Beckinsale signed my photo at the movie premiere of Snow Angelsme by selling their ticket to get in as well as a publicist who gave away 4 tickets to 4 lucky David Gordon Green fans. We first saw Michael Angarano, he stopped at the other barricade briefly then because of all of our "MICHAEL" chanting he came over.  I had nothing for him to sign so when he was in front of me I asked for a picture, the lovely lady who was accompanying him offered to take it and it was easily one of my favorite's of the night. Next came James Franco, even with the cheesy mustache, he is a hottie.  He is working with David Gordon Green on Pineapple Express. Others showed up including Lake Bell, Robin Tunney, the writer Stuart O'Nan, Jason Reitman, and then at 7:25 up pulled Kate Beckinsale and her hot hubby Len Wiseman, they stopped at the other barricade first anMichael Angarano and Olivia Thirlby Snow Angelsd Kate signed and took a few pictures then she came over to our side, I said hello and handed her my Underworld picture to sign and she has such a brilliant smile. I was vert thrilled to have found both the picture and the silver sharpie.

I followed Kate Beckinsale inside and found Mike and Sari in awesome center seats. Olivia Thirlby apparently came immediately after Kate, but sadly I missed it, she was the very best part of the whole movie, she is very talented.

James Franco and I after the movie premiere of Snow AngelsInside the theatre there was a row reserved for each actor/actress and their friends or family, James Franco sat two rows behind us, that was pretty awesome! The movie was pretty intense and was not really my type of movie, but Sam Rockwell and Kate Beckinsale were superb, they really became their characters, and as I said before Michael Angarano and Olivia Thirlby did an amazing job.

When the movie ended we made our way out into the Egyptian courtyard for the after VIP party and I was lucky enough to go up and introduce myself to James Franco, i told him where I was from and how everyone that works at the movie Kate Beckinsale and Monique at the after Premiere party at the Egyptian theatretheatre in St George have had a crush on him since the first Spiderman movie and then he graciously took a picture with me, it was so exciting.

Kate Beckinsale and Mike at the VIP Snow Angels Movie premiere after partyThe actors all congregated inside the theatre taking group shots and meeting all their friends and family, it was fun to watch.

Kate Beckinsale and Len came out last and Mike and I went up to get a magazine cover signed since we were right by the doors, Len told everyone Kate was not doing personal pictures but we did capture these to always remember the night.  Kate was her gracious self, I told her how we had met at Comic Con and I was back from Utah for another one of her events and she laughed saying I was a true fan, Kate Beckinsale is by and far the most friendly beautiful, charming actress I have had the pleasure to meet. We decided to leave soon after as we had a 7 hour drive back home, but it was a really unreal night, we had enjoyed ourselves immensely and I am so glad we had gotten tickets and been able to be a part of this Hollywood Movie Premiere experience.  When we got back to the car around 12:30 am, the last stragglers from the Janet Jackson signing were heading to their cars too, that poor lady had signed for 4 1/2 hours!

On our drive back we stopped in Baker and to our surprise there were Mike's shoes just where we left them, boy did they miss out on a great time!
