Josh Holloway 2005 Comic con

Josh Holloway

Comic Con 2005 encounter

Comic Con 2005 was my very first Comic Con experience, I went with 3 of my really good convention friends, Natalie, Becky and Kelli.  We had heard about a special Josh Holloway signing after the LOST panel so we all went and waited in line for upwards of 4 hours to get one of the 39 tickets, only one of my friendsJosh Holloway Lost panel CC2005 and I made it,(and she had never even watched Lost at this point) but the ticket was good for a Slither movie cast signing and Nathan Fillion would be there so she was all over this ticket.

The LOST panel was filled with people, some waiting since 7am, but when Josh Holloway walked in and sat down for questions, YUMMY, the heat went up in the room by about 10 degrees

Josh Holloway and the 2005 Lost panel guests

The LOST panel guests this year included  Damon Lindelof, Bryan Burk, Carlton Cuse, Javier Grillo-Marxuach, Josh Holloway and Maggie Grace.

We got to see a couple of the dvd extra features during the panel. "Genesis of Lost" talks about how the series came together. Damon Lindelof and J.J. Abrams spend alot of time revealing the amazing way everything came together.  ABC wanted the show quickly, it was picked up on the outline alone, and the pilot was written in five days. This feature discusses the extraordinary circumstances surrounding the show's beginning.

Two deleted scenes were also shown at the panel. The first takes place between (Sawyer) JosJosh Holloway and LOST creators at CC 2005 panelh Holloway and (Charlie) Dominic Monaghan on the beach. Sawyer is smoking next to the plane and Charlie comments that it's dangerous. When Sawyer refuses, Charlie then asks for a smoke, and walks away.

In the second deleted scene, (Sawyer) Josh Holloway and Kate are watching Jack, Sayid and Locke talk island politics. They say it looks alot like C-Span and Sawyer asks why Kate isn't over there with Jack. She responds, "I don't like C-SPAN."  During and after the panel there were so many camera flashs going off I am surprised everyone is not blind :).

It was now time to go upstairs for the special Slither, Josh Holloway signing. I was so excited, Sawyer(Josh) was one of my favorite and Josh Holloway and I at Comic Con 2005definately one the sexiest characters on TV.  When we got to the door we were told they were only autographing what they had, don't ask them to autograph anything else, absolutely no cameras of any kind were to be used, but hey I am still about to meet Josh Holloway! when Becky and I get up there she gets her movie thing signed and Josh looks up at me and I say, "Hi, I'm Monique, I absolutely adore your show and character, and he smiles with those twinkling eyes and says "why thanks Monique." and starts to sign my movie thing when a lady from the studio comes up and says they need a publicity shot so go around behind the table and pose with Josh Holloway, I am in shock at this point but quickly jump around the table and she takes my camera and takes one for me too, I am so happy and beyond thrilled even now thinking about how very lucky I was.

Josh HollowJosh Holloway signing at inkworks boothay and Maggie Grace were also signing autos at the inkworks booth for a short time, saJosh Holloway and Maggie Gracedly I did not get a ticket for this but they looked great anyway.  The many people getting autos were smiling, and Josh was so personable with his unmistakable dimples.  He shook hands with everyone, I did not see anyone else get their picture with him though. I will never forget how very lucky I actually was that day.  It is a day I will remember always.
